The gladiator sandals/shoes of 2008 have been taken to the next level… cage shoes. mesh shoes from Stella McCartney, knee-highs from Barbara Bui and sexy ankle boots from YSL showcased this cagey trend.

Lots of pulled-up hair with various stylized ’buns’ topped off the models of Dior, Lanvin and Phillip Lim gave it a sideways twist.

Hold on girls! Shoulder pads are making a comeback… OMG. Curse you Mark Jacobs! Another kick-back from the 80’s, slouchy, silky pants much like the harem pants and old school MC Hammer pants - were seen on many catwalks.

Of course old standards like the mini-skirts, rhinestones, sheers (and visible undies) are still going strong thanks to (to name only a few) Versace, Alexander McQueen, Stella Mcartney and Valentino. 

The multiple chains and chunky necklaces of the past few years have evolved into bib necklacesby Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burbury and Chanel.

Prada and Marc Jacobs showed a more simplified version of a ladies purse - drawstring bags! Hmmm.
