Clump-free, smudgeproof, waterproof, legnthen, volumize, curl, condition…. all these promises but which one really delivers? In my teens my first make-up must haves were liner and mascara. Since I never carried a purse, my right breast pocket of my old faded Levis jean jacket always carried my red liner pencil and my pink and green Maybelline mascara. For the next fifteen years this was all I needed. The jet black pencil and countless layers of mascara framed what I considered my best asset…. my amber eyes. Ahh yes, things were simple then. I’m not sure when I found FULL N SOFT, late nineties maybe, but I loved how I could build thick and lucious lashes, again for years my make-up bag remained simple and uncluttered. But as my 40th birthday came and went, so did my years of easy makeup application. My georgous lashes started flaking, smudging and smaering all over the place. Alas, my wrinkles had started to affect my make-up. Likewise for my eyeshadow too. Product stared sinking into the cracks and creases and tried and true cosmetics no longer worked. My whole approach to make-up had to change. My collection of make-up started accumulate in the search for crease-proof, stead-fast cosmetics. To this day I am always searching. My cheery personality has materialized as wrinkles… and as much as I hate them, I would never even try to change
It was an even race for first place between Maybelline DEFINE-A-LASH and CoverGirl Professoinal mascaras for their abilty to go on smoothly without globs of mascara hanging off my thin, sparse lashes; stay put for at least ten hours without smudging, smearing or flaking, and easy removal - I want to wash of my make-up easily without loosing any of my fragile lashes. My newest favourite mascara is….. drum roll please….. COVERGIRL lashblast !!!
